The challenge
Ghost Fragrances needed a storefront that could merchandise Deep Night, Lunar Goddess, giftsets, and refill ranges without leaning on a stack of third-party apps for basics the theme should handle natively. Monthly app fees added overhead, scripts slowed the experience, and every promotion or shipping threshold change queued developer time. Enchant Digital's CRO programme needed room to test, but rigid templates and app-led workarounds made experiments slow and expensive to run.
The strategy
Working alongside Enchant Digital, oContis did not replatform Ghost onto a new stack. Instead we built a modular Shopify theme architecture: fully customisable sections, native replacements for app-driven features, and a free shipping plus gift configurator wired into the storefront. The goal was a leaner monthly stack, faster pages, and a theme both the merchandising team and Enchant's A/B testing team could change without developer dependency.

Results
Ghost Fragrances runs on a leaner Shopify stack with native tooling for shipping and gift promotions, measurably faster page performance after shedding app script weight, and a theme the merchandising and CRO teams can adjust without developer bottlenecks. Commercial upside follows a faster storefront: less friction at browse and checkout, with overhead redirected from app subscriptions into the build itself.
